Not enough time — a children’s book with narration

A children’s book for ages 6–12, free, in Greek and English, narrated on every page.

Heroes: WiseBot & Sparken

What it is about

The alarm rings and everything must be done NOW. A story about the moment you break from pressure and learn to choose.

It's not your fault you got tired. It's that you tried to fit everything in.

The first page — Everything At Once

The alarm rang at exactly 6:30. Its sound was sharp and insistent, like a tiny hammer chipping away at the morning piece by piece. Alexandra opened her eyes and looked at it like an enemy — like someone who had walked into her room without knocking.

Before she even sat up, her mind began its familiar sprint. Today: school, piano lesson, the class project, painting, and — squeezed somewhere in there, like a book shoved onto an overloaded shelf — their own thing. The project she was building with Philippos and Eleftheria. The only thing she truly wanted, with her whole heart.

Philippos had torn a page from his notebook. At the top he had written in big, nervous letters: "TO DO." Below it, the list ran down line after line, longer than his arm. He gripped it tightly, like a map that led nowhere.

"It can't be done," said Eleftheria, resting her forehead on the table next to her untouched breakfast. "We can't do everything. The day isn't long enough."

"We have to!" said Philippos, louder than he meant to. His eyes were red and heavy. He hadn't slept enough — again.

Alexandra felt a weight on her chest, as if someone invisible were sitting on her. This wasn't ordinary tiredness. It was something worse, something sneakier. It was the feeling that no matter what you do, no matter how fast you run, it is never enough.

What is in the book

  • 5 illustrated pages.
  • Narration on every page, in Greek and in English: the word being read lights up in the text, and a tapped word takes the narration there.
  • Read by an AI voice, in both languages.
  • A quiz at the end, 3 questions: all answers right earns the child 1⚡, once per book.
  • A short message for parents on the last page.

For parents

Children can't handle everything at once — nobody can. Pressure doesn't build character, it builds exhaustion. Help your child learn to choose: 'What is important today?' instead of 'How will I manage everything?'
